Barefoot Workout – 24 Minute Interval Workout For Women

workout for women

Marysol after the workout... Can you tell she really pushed it?

When it comes to intensity a lot of women would rather spend hours on the elliptical than push hard for 25 minutes. This is a concept I have never been able to understand. I enjoy exercising but I also consider myself a pretty busy person. I have a husband and friends I want to spend time with, work that needs to be done and lists upon lists of tasks that need to get accomplished before the end of the day. My workout is a priority but it isn’t the center of my life.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve met women that want to lose weight and seem to be stuck. Even when  they’re spending over two hours at the gym every day; their bodies aren’t changing and they’re tired and frustrated.

I will never get this endless cardio concept. There is absolutely no need to waste your time doing hours of cardio every day.  Getting results with any fitness program has nothing to do with time and lots to do with effort. Learn how to train smart so you don’t have to waste your life feeling trapped behind a gym’s walls.

I decided to share this workout to give you an idea of what training smart is all about. There are two parts to this workout. But if you’re a beginner, you can start by completing the first Video.  As you get better, add the workout on your second video to get a better burn.

Workout Breakdown

Part 1

You will need : A gymboss timer or the gymboss app on your iphone  and a rage ball or a medicine ball
Set your timer for 25 rounds and two intervals one of 10 seconds and another one of 50
You will use the 10 seconds as a small break to write down your reps for each exercise
during the 50 seconds you will push as hard as you can.

So it goes like this. You do the first exercise and make sure you count your reps. During your 10 second break write the number of reps completed. When the timer goes off move on to the second exercise. You will do the whole workout this way.

Exercises

Rocket Get Up
V-sit Combo
Push Ups
X Climbers
Repeat the circuit 6x for a total of 24 minutes(sorry I said 25 on the video)
